File formats
CSV with any separator (comma, semicolon, tab) and encoding (UTF-8, ISO-8859-1/Windows-1252) — all auto-detected, as are European decimal commas. Numbers exports with a title row on top are handled too. In Pro you can upload .xlsx directly.
Columns and matching
The only required columns are a cost column and one identifier. The matching order is: product_id → supplier_sku (the supplier's article number) → gtin (EAN/barcode) → sku (your SKU). All other columns — currency, on_sale, sale dates — are optional.
The golden rule: blank = unchanged
An empty cell never touches existing data. The file can be as sparse as you like without risk. To explicitly clear a sale date, put a dash (-) in the cell.
Mappings are saved
The first time, you pair the file's columns with the fields; after that, the same supplier file arrives pre-mapped. Each supplier has its own saved mapping.
The review step
Every row is shown matched against your product with old and new cost, the calculated price and the full calculation. Unmatched rows are listed separately — nothing is created silently. Changes above your confirmation threshold require a per-row tick. Apply → everything is journaled → undo lives on the Price runs page.
