Managing SEO Metadata (Premium)
Meta Manager lets you manage meta titles, descriptions and more - per post, page and term - without a separate SEO plugin.
Enable the Module
- Go to Site Auditor > Optimize (Modules)
- Enable Meta Manager
Edit Metadata
With the module active, every post and page gets a meta box in the editor where you can set:
- SEO title - Custom title for search results
- Meta description - The description shown in Google
- Open Graph title, description and image - For social media sharing
- Canonical URL - Points to the original version of the page
- Robots settings - noindex and nofollow per page
The same fields are also available on category and tag edit screens, so you can set metadata per term.
Conflict Detection
Meta Manager is built not to clash with SEO plugins. If Yoast SEO, Rank Math, All in One SEO, or SEOPress is active, the module automatically disables its output and shows a notice in the admin panel - so you never get duplicate meta tags.
Tips
- Start with pages that have the most traffic
- Use unique descriptions for each page
- Include keywords naturally in the title
- Keep titles under 60 characters for best display
- Write descriptions that encourage clicks (call-to-action)
