Ravnsight
Website monitoring and diagnostics — without the false alarms
Developed by Pihlfelt & Vänner
Description
About the project
Ravnsight is a Swedish SaaS platform that keeps an eye on websites around the clock — uptime, performance, certificates, domains, DNS, APIs and more. What sets it apart is that it confirms a failure before it alerts, so you're never buried in false alarms and only hear from it when something is genuinely broken.
But Ravnsight doesn't stop at "the site is down." By weighing several signals together it points to a likely cause in plain language — you learn both that something broke and why. For WordPress sites, the Ravnsight Detective add-on goes deeper still and catches errors from the inside.
Monitoring runs from several nodes in the EU, and the platform is built for agencies and partners, with public status pages, SLA reports and white-label.
The problem with ordinary monitoring
Most monitoring tools cry wolf at the slightest thing — a momentary timeout, one slow load — and before long you've stopped listening. Ravnsight is built on a simple principle: an alert should mean something. A single failed check never raises a flag on its own; the platform confirms from another node first before it says a word. Fewer notifications, but the right ones.
Ravnsight observes, detects, correlates and diagnoses — but it never guesses. When the evidence points one way it says "strongly correlated with", not "caused", right up until a reproducible test has confirmed it.
Monitoring for the whole site
Ravnsight covers far more than a simple ping:
- Uptime and performance with full timing breakdowns, so you can see where the time goes.
- Certificates and domains — warnings weeks before they expire.
- DNS, APIs, ports and cron jobs — build exactly the checks your site needs.
- Deviations from the site's own baseline — a page that suddenly weighs ten times as much is a fault too.
- Marketing tags — find out when GA, GTM or the Meta pixel suddenly stops loading.
From alert to likely cause
When something happens, Ravnsight correlates the events and presents a ranked list of likely causes — with supporting and contradicting evidence shown side by side. Confidence is given in levels (low, medium, high, confirmed), never as a made-up percentage. Every time you resolve a case, the system learns from the outcome and gets sharper for the next one.
Deeper for WordPress
For WordPress there's Ravnsight Detective — an add-on that catches errors and changes from inside the site. The free part runs entirely locally with no external calls, on a tight performance budget so visitors never notice it. The Pro version connects the site to the platform for correlation, diagnostics and an isolated test environment that can confirm what's actually causing the trouble.
From your dashboard on ravnsight.com you can also update WordPress core, plugins and themes directly — without logging in to each individual site. And when something genuinely needs fixing, you can send a request to a technician right from the platform (WordPress sites for now).
Built for agencies and partners
Ravnsight is made for anyone looking after many sites: gather everything in one view, publish polished status pages — which can also be embedded on your own site — send automated SLA reports and put your own logo on all of it with white-label. With continuous, visible proof that the sites are monitored and healthy, it also becomes easier for agencies and partners to package and sell support and service agreements.
Monitoring from several countries
Checks run from several independent nodes — in Europe today, with more locations on the way — with automatic failover. If one location stops responding, another takes over, so monitoring never grinds to a halt.
