Pihlfelt Image Assistant

The settings explained

The key thing to understand

The settings are defaults. When you run an action in the image list you can always choose different values for that particular run — the settings control what is prefilled and what applies automatically to new uploads.

The tabs

  • General: images per page and the default filter in the image list.
  • Metadata: which fields the plugin manages (turning a field off removes it everywhere), AI mode and AI language.
  • Scaling: maximum dimensions (default 2560 px — a safe limit that does not hurt retina/zoom), minimum thresholds and automatic scaling of new uploads.
  • Compression: JPG quality (default 82), WebP creation and delivery, thresholds.
  • Backup: on/off (on!), how long backups are kept (default: indefinitely) and the disk usage warning limit.
  • AI/API: context sources for the AI and the admin bar balance.
  • Export/Import: CSV delimiter and import mode.
  • Advanced: batch sizes, log level, data cleanup on uninstall — and the diagnostics report for support.
